BIO

“John Grisham Without the Success” is how Brett has been described by critics. In all seriousness, Brett is a successful trial attorney with offices throughout the five boroughs of NYC and New Jersey. He is originally from Long Island, but chose to live in New Jersey because he loves the long commute over the George Washington Bridge each day.

No, he doesn’t. And that’s what’s at the heart of what Brett writes about. When you get married and have children, you make sacrifices in the best interests of your family. Brett and his wife, Lauren, have been on a long journey since they met in 2001. They’ve faced adversity related to mental health, pregnancy complications, and birth complications.

There’s two ways to handle all they’ve faced. Get angry about it and internalize it all. Or get angry about it and use humor to cope.

In January 2019, released a memoir titled, WHAT COULD GO WRONG? – My Mostly Comedic Journey through Marriage, Parenting and Depression, which documents the period from Lauren’s first pregnancy through the present. It’s funny. It’s sad.  It’s a raw look at making children and those not-so-relaxing years that follow.

What Could Go Wrong? quickly became an Amazon #1 New Release, and has sold more copies than The Bible.
